I’ve been a photographer longer than I haven’t in my life
and I still chase the same things: light, story, and human connection.

I’m Andy — a Minnesota-born, darkroom-raised photographer creating fine-art, cinematic imagery for couples who want their wedding to feel honest, intentional, and deeply personal.

I was shaped by the icy waters of the Lake Superior, refined in the darkrooms of SF, NY, Japan, and Greece, and grounded by the belief that the best images happen when people
 feel like themselves.

As a professional photographer for 16 years, I'm a traditionalist at heart.

I went to school for photography, learned on film, and spent long nights in darkrooms developing images the old-fashioned way. It was during this time that I developed a lifelong passion for immortalizing people, places, and moments through art.

But when it comes to weddings, I'm a bit of a non-traditionalist. Instead of stiff poses and grand ballrooms, I gravitate towards freestyle portraits in the great outdoors - where I climb trees, wade in streams, or stand on cliff edges to get the perfect shot.

(But if you’re getting married in a ballroom, know that I’m still down to photograph it!)

The result?: You and Mother Nature perfectly encapsulated in an honest and classically beautiful way.​​​​​​​
